What Will Be Taught For This Cyber Security Attacks & Defence Specialist (CADS) Course?

Our cyber range training in Singapore is designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to monitor intelligence-gathering and anticipate potential threats to an ICT system proactively through an intensive cyber range training. This SkillsFuture course in Singapore involves the hands-on pre-emptive analysis of potential perpetrators (blue team training), anomalous activities (red team training) and evidence-based knowledge and inferences on perpetrators' motivations and tactics.

Participants will learn to monitor, detect and respond to network attacks, network forensics fundamentals, secure IDS, firewall, and SIEM configuration. They will also learn the intricacies of network traffic signature, analysis and vulnerability scanning, which will help them to respond to cyber security events appropriately. These skills will allow participants to foster their organisations’ resilience and continuity of operations during cyber-attacks.

Red Team Training and Blue Team Training

Red team in the realm of cyber security refers to training white-hat hackers to find loopholes in an organisation’s digital infrastructure and attack the systems in an assumed cyber-invasion to test its defences. The blue team finds ways to defend the system against the attack. Red team and blue team training, also referred to as cyber range training, is essential for organisations to eliminate vulnerabilities in their networks and tighten their security. In Singapore, the overdependence on the digital network requires organisations to enhance their security systems continuously to defend against cyber-attacks, and thus cyber range training has become more than necessary.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define & Identify Cyber Security Risks, Threats and Challenges in an Organisation
  • Conduct Assets Vulnerability Scans Using the PICERII (Preparation, Identification, Containment, Eradication, Recovery) Framework
  • Deploy Security Intelligence System (IDS/IPS/SIEM) and Troubleshoot Log Forwarding for Windows and Linux Assets
  • Identify the Strategies to Response and Contain Common Attack Vectors
  • Conduct Continues Security Threats Monitoring
  • Run, Schedule and View Final Cyber Security Incident Report
  • Create Policies or Directives to Alarm on Critical Events in the Future and Transform Them into Organisation’s Asset
