Shaping the T-Shape Workforce of 2020.
COMAT has been providing consistently high quality instructor-led classroom training on IT applications since 1984. Today, 27 years since it was founded, the 100% owned subsidiary of ST Electronics is reinventing itself as it prepares to train what it envisage will be the T-Shape Workforce of the Future.
With Cloud Computing and Social Media as the leading drivers of technology and business evolution, the workforce skills needed in 2020 will be drastically different from 2011. Vertical domain expertise in technologies such as Microsoft and Oracle, or in specializations such as Project Management or IT Service Management, will no longer be sufficient.
The workforce of the future needs to equip itself with new breadth skills such as Financial, Legal, Security, Social Media, Technical and Report Writing literacy, on top of the various vertical domain expertise they will develop in the course of their careers.
With this vision in mind, COMAT has today assembled its course program offerings to help train and prepare the workforce of 2020. Foundational training programs leading to CompTIA, ICDL and MOS, are complemented by Core programs from EC-Council, LCS, Microsoft, Oracle, PMI, to name a few. Emerging skills in Business Analytics, Cloud Computing, Green IT and IT Architecture are now available with recent vendor accreditations by SAS, ITpreneur, SiTF and IASA. Together with its in-house developed Social Media programs, COMAT has successfully put together industry-relevant and globally recognized training & certification programs to help today's workforce evolve into the Workforce of 2020.
