Winning our Grand Prize at COMEX 2008



Miss Emily Chu, coming from the profession of electronics sales, has walked away with the grand prize of one MSI Wind UMPC during COMEX 2008! Comat has participated in COMEX 2008, Singapore's biggest IT & consumer technology exhibition, with the aim of introducing new and current highly demanded IT courses to the end consumers while providing them at the most competitive prices.

Initially she couldn't believe her luck; afterall while visiting COMEX 2008 with her colleagues, it was them that first notice Comat holding a lucky draw at our booth. "When I first received the email, I went to my colleagues emails to check if they received the same mail with the same information just to ensure that it was not one of those email pranks!"

In the midst of promoting relevant IT courses and cirriculum to our current and prospective customers, Comat held a lucky dip to reward any individual that recognises the need for constant learning and IT skills upgrading, with a grand draw to be conducted at the end of the show to give away one MSI Wind UMPC.

Recognising the importance to stay ahead on key IT developments, we had a chat with Emily and she shared her views with us on thriving in this competitive economy. " As IT is one of the key industries in terms of technology, it is a must to constantly keep abreast of IT developments, such as upgrading your skills to keep yourself relevant."

When it comes to identifying her favourite IT application in staying ahed with key IT developments, there was hardly any doubt over it. "Mircosoft Office. Outlook is like the default email program in most companies. For me professionally, Excel is a godsend when doing pricing proposals. In fact, I have actually spoken to my boss about taking an excel course as I really want to learn more features."
